16 Week Ultrasound + Gender Reveal!
Hi Baby!
We were REALLY hoping that today we would find out your gender at our ultrasound! The ultrasound tech said we should know at our 18 week, but possibly sooner at our 16 week ultra sound. You just happened to be sitting right in the right spot!
We were so over the moon excited! Our plan was to reveal to the family on the following Sunday family dinner with a cake for them, but I knew right then that there was no way I could keep it a secret for that long, especially with me being around my mom so much. So I started calling bakeries right there in the doctor's office while we waited to se the doctor after the ultrasound.
We went with Nothing Bundt Cake since they could just hide a pink or blue rattle in the cake under the decorations, so they could do it within like 10 minutes. We said "Great! We'll be there at 5pm!"
It was a Tuesday and because TJ and Courtney come by to pick up kids from my parents house around 7pm, I was easily able to text everyone in my family to confirm they could be there at 7pm for the gender reveal, and we made a last minute reveal party.
It was way more fun that I anticipated and I'm glad that Ben insisted on a reveal. The family made their guesses, it was pretty evenly split, and we popped off the top decorations to reveal the gender!
We got to do it all again the next day with Ben's parents and his brothers joining in via FaceTime from Provo.
